Citrus Shinn Duck & Scallion (柑橘 Shinn 鴨蔥), Serving the Scrumptious Ramen Full of Duck Aroma in Taipei, Taiwan!


In the evening of Oct. 2, 2020, my friends and I would like to have dinner together! We headed to a ramen restaurant, Soba Shinn Duck & Scallion (Soba Shinn 鴨蔥), near MRT Liuzhangli Station (捷運六張犁站), Taipei, Taiwan.


Here was the waiting list to register at its entrance. We could just waited near the entrance after registering. We didn't have this need to line up!


We chatted with each other and took a look at the menu!


The ramen at Citrus Shinn Duck & Scallion (柑橘 Shinn 鴨蔥) based on the duck soup with some citruses or clams.


That day I initially planned to order the foamed citrus duck ramen, but it was already sold out! I changed my mind and then ordered a bowl of foamed duck ramen.


By the way, customers placed their orders here via the machine!


The saltiness of soup and firmness of noodles could both be customized when placing orders. Even the BBQ duck rice could also be customized!


My final decision was the foamed duck ramen (泡系鴨拉麵) at 240 TWD (= 8.37 USD). The saltiness of soup was rich, and the firmness of noodles was firm. Moreover, I ordered a bowl of BBQ duck rice with the richer sauce at 60 TWD (= 2.09 USD)!


After placing our orders, we had our table seats!


We could read some notices after having our seats. The most important one was no toilet here!


The iced water here included some citruses, and the broth could lower the richness of ramen.


After a while, my foamed duck ramen was served!


There were some citrus slices in the soup. They couldn't be soaked for too long, or the soup would become bitter.


The noodles had a nice texture because of its firmness. Moreover, the foam of duck soup was easily attached to the noodles. The foam made the noodles more mouth-watering!


The grilled meats were the sous vide duck and pork!


The grilled duck slices were relatively rare at ramen restaurants. The duck slices had the rich duck aroma and tender texture.


The common sous vide pork slices were also high-quality! They also tasted very good!


The soup was full of rich duck aroma. With the scallions and black species, the soup tasted not only rich but also impacting! It was really impressive to me!


Depending on customers' choice, the BBQ duck rice could be served with the ramen or after the ramen.


Personally speaking, I liked the advantage very much! I chose to have the BBQ duck rice later. After all, the ramen and BBQ duck rice would easily be cool soon when they were served at the same time. 


The grilled sous vide duck was really heavenly and fantastic with the rich duck sauce, scallions and rice!


The texture of rice was pretty good! The hot BBQ duck rice was really an enjoyment! It was the perfect ending for me!


Personally speaking, Citrus Shinn Duck & Scallion (柑橘 Shinn 鴨蔥) is absolutely worth a try! Especially for the rich ramen lovers, it's the ramen restaurant you shouldn't miss out!
