Morimorizushi (もりもり寿し), Serving the Fresh and Fantastic Sushi Breakfast in Kanazawa, Ishikawa, Japan!

In the morning of Jan. 9, 2020, I woke up at Hotel Vista Kanazawa, Ishikawa, Japan. After that, I walked to Omicho Market in Downtown Kanazawa from Kanazawa Station. Here was a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, Morimorizushi (もりもり寿し), which opened at 7:00.

I arrived at Morimorizushi (もりもり寿し) roughly at 08:30. Here were still so many seats available. Queueing was not necessary.

As the same as most of conveyor belt sushi restaurant, the prices of sushi depended on the color of dishes.

Customers could place their orders via iPad. Morimorizushi (もりもり寿し) also offered the menu on iPads in different languages.

The menu with photos could help customers a lot!

Because I was so hungry, I initially ordered the 2 three-sushi sets, firefly squid sushi and grilled fish sushi respectively.

Three firefly squid sushi (ほたるいか三点盛) at 340 JPY (= 3.16 USD)
There were 3 firefly sushi in the dish. They were the basic type. Another was topped with minced gingers. The last one looked so black due to the squid ink. The firefly squid was the local speciality of Toyama Bay, Japan. The firefly squid tasted very fresh and al dente!

Three grilled fish sushi (たたき三点盛) at 340 JPY (= 3.16 USD)
The three grilled sushi set consisted of tuna, bonito and yellowtail sushi. The periphery of sashimi was slightly grilled. The sushi smelled very good due to grilling. The fresh grilled sashimi tasted fantastic with the sushi rice!

Next, I ordered a dish of whelk sushi and a dish of crab tomalley sushi.

Crab tomalley sushi (かに味噌軍艦) at 280 JPY (= 2.6 USD)
The crab tomalley sushi (かに味噌軍艦) was full of the freshness of crabs. With the fresh crab meat and sushi rice, the crab tomalley sushi was so scrumptious!

Whelk sushi (つぶ貝寿司) at 240 JPY (= 2.23 USD)
The whelk on the sushi rice tasted light but al dente. The whelk sushi (つぶ貝寿司) was worth a try!

And then I ordered the Japanese horse mackerel sushi, bonito sushi and yellowtail sushi.

Japanese horse mackerel sushi (真あじ寿司) at 280 JPY (= 2.6 USD)
The minced scallions and gingers were topped on the Japanese horse mackerel sushi (真あじ寿司). I loved the sushi very much because of the fine and fresh Japanese horse mackerel sashimi.

Bonito sushi (かつおたたき) at 180 JPY (= 1.67 USD)
The periphery of bonito sushi (かつおたたき) was slightly grilled. The taste of bonito was richer and heavier. But the bonito tasted so great with the sushi rice!

Yellowtail sushi (ぶり寿司) at 280 JPY (= 2.6 USD)
Due to the fat of yellowtail, the yellowtail sushi (ぶり寿司) looked quite bright. I was looking forward to it! The sushi tasted as delicious as I expected! The yellowtail sashimi without any redundant fat was so fantastic with the sushi rice!

After I had 7 dishes of sushi, I was almost full. Therefore, I decided to order a bowl of Blackthroat seaperch miso soup (のど黑のあら汁) as the end of breakfast.

Blackthroat seaperch miso soup (のど黑のあら汁) at 340 JPY (= 3.15 USD)
Blackthroat seaperch was the speciality in Ishikawa and Toyama, Japan!

Blackthroat seaperch miso soup (のど黑のあら汁) at 340 JPY (= 3.15 USD)
The blackthroat seaperch miso soup (のど黑のあら汁) smelled full of miso aroma when it was served! The miso soup based on the fresh fish broth and rich miso was too delicious to forget for me after trying the soup.

Blackthroat seaperch miso soup (のど黑のあら汁) at 340 JPY (= 3.15 USD)
There was a large blackthroat seaperch head in the soup. The texture of blackthroat seaperch was fine and tender. The miso soup was the must-eat!

The fresh and fantastic sushi breakfast cost me 2,280 JPY (= 21.25 USD), not included VAT yet. The price was still reasonable for me! The only disadvantage here was CASH ONLY! Credit cards was not accepted here.

After enjoying the fantastic sushi breakfast, I slowly walked back to the Hotel Vista where I stayed near Kanazawa Station. After I took a comfortable shower and a cat nap, I headed to Korinbo, Downtown Kanazawa by foot.
