The Level Crossing near Kamakurakokomae Station for Slam Dunk Fans! (Kanagawa, Japan)

(中文版:鎌倉高校前平交道,給灌籃高手迷去朝聖的地方!(日本神奈川))

On Feb. 15, 2017, the 1st day of our trip to Tokyo and Kanagawa, after my friend and I tasted the best breakfast in the world, Bills at Shichirigahama, we walked to Kamakurakokomae Station (鎌倉高校前駅).

The weather that day was so good that we could see Mt. Fuji from Shonan Coast in Kanagawa on the way to Kamakurakokomae Station!  We were so lucky because the possibility of seeing Mt. Fuji so clearly from Shonan Coast was pretty low!

After we arrived at the level crossing, everything was so familiar for us, just like deja vu! The level crossing appeared in Slam Dunk Opening Theme!

We were just like the characters in Slam Dunk! It seemed that we could feel the same as the characters in Slam Dunk at the same environment!

Slam Dunk was so popular when it started on Jump, Japan's weekly manga journal. And soon it affected the whole East Asia. It's a manga about high school basketball in Japan. It has become the collective memory of the generation born before 1990 in East Asia! Slam Dunk is so classic that even after two decades, it is still often mentioned in Asian people's dialogues.

I shot the following 2 videos to record the familiar level crossing that I visited for my 1st time!

It seemed that I almost went back to my childhood! I also missed Slam Dunk's ending theme!

I'm not sure which one you like, but both of them were played during my childhood!

After the level crossing, we went to the next attraction along Enoshima Electrical Railway, the great buddha of Kamakura at Kotoku-In near Hase Station, from Kamakurakokomae Station!
