On Oct. 27, 2020, my friends and I had lunch together in Taipei, Taiwan. At noon, we visited Nanmen Market (南門市場) near MRT Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall Station (捷運中正紀念堂站) for the super popular eatery, Hehuan Sliced Noodles (合歡刀削麵)!
Because the original Nanmen Market (南門市場) was being renovated, we visited the temporary replacement that day. After the renovation, Nanmen Market would be moved back closer to MRT Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall Station (捷運中正紀念堂站).
After we lined up here 15 minutes later, it was our turn to place our orders!
I ordered a bowl of tomato beef noodle soup (番茄煮牛肉麵) at 110 TWD (= 3.85 USD). The credit cards and mobile payments were acceptable here. It was very convenient for consumers!
After placing our orders, we waited for our meals and watched the chef professionally slice the dough.
Because the noodle soup was freshly made, we had to wait! After a while, all our meals were all served!
One of my friends ordered the Chinese cabbage beef noodle soup (酸白菜煮牛肉麵) at 110 TWD (= 3.85 USD) per bowl.
Another ordered the minced beef noodles (牛肉醬拌麵) at 60 TWD (= 2.1 USD) per bowl. Both of them looked very delicious!
My tomato beef noodle soup looked not only abundant but also various! Besides the base, sliced noodles, the toppings were the much sliced beef, tomato, vegetables and egg drops!
The soup tasted mild and mouth-watering. With the tomato chunks, the sour taste made me enjoyed the soup one spoon after another!
The egg drops in the soup made the soup smoother!
I strongly recommended to add the black beans and chilis into the soup! The soup became even more delicious and spicier!
The topping here was the beef slices, not the beef chunks with thick texture commonly used on beef noodle soup. But the beef slices were many, fresh and tender. With the soup, the beef slices were also mouth-watering!
The soul of the noodles soup, sliced noodles, had the thick and springy texture! The combination of noodles and soup was really perfect!
The noodles at Hehuan Sliced Noodles (合歡刀削麵) is not only large-portion but also quite affordable in Taipei, Taiwan! It's a pretty mouth-watering bargain! I strongly recommend Hehuan Sliced Noodles (合歡刀削麵) to you!
