Canlan Japanese Cuisine (燦爛和食), Serving the Fresh and Scrumptious Japanese Cuisine in Xindian, New Taipei, Taiwan!

In the morning of Oct. 16, 2019, I went to Tzu Chi Hospital, Xindian, New Taipei, Taiwan. At noon, my family and I headed to Canlan Japanese Cuisine (燦爛和食) nearby for lunch.

Canlan Japanese Cuisine (燦爛和食) was located near MRT Dapinglin Station. Here were so many customers dining at noon!

The seats inside the restaurant were all occupied!

Here were only bar seats available, so we had the bar seats.

The menu on the blackboard was about the seafood only in this season! I was looking forward to the seafood when I saw the menu!

Here were various Japanese foods on the menu. The foods mainly based on the seafood!

The options on the menu were too many, so I couldn't decide soon.

Besides the seafood, the various skewers and drunk foods were also served!

Because we only two people visited here, the set meals were better for us.

Our final decisions were the seven-cut sashimi set meal (精選刺身七切套餐) at 319 TWD (= 10.6 USD). Additionally, we ordered the side dishes, the grilled chicken thigh skewers with cheese and pesto (青醬起司烤雞腿串) at 99 TWD (= 3.29 USD) and the grilled salmon rice ball (鮭魚烤飯糰) at 39 TWD (= 1.3 USD).

After placing our orders, the only thing we could do was to wait. At the moment, I found the ceramic doll of Seven Lucky Gods (七福神). Seven Lucky Gods (七福神) were believed to grant wealth and good luck.

After a while, our dishes were served one after another. At first, I'd like to try the grilled chicken thigh skewers with cheese and pesto (青醬起司烤雞腿串). The grilled tender chicken thigh with the melted cheese and fragrant pesto tasted fantastic!

Next, I tried the salmon rice ball (鮭魚烤飯糰). The grilled rice ball was slightly crispy outside with the soy sauce aroma. With some nori, it tasted very good!

And then I had the main course, seven-cut sashimi (七切生魚片). The large and thick sashimi looked so mouth-watering!

The salmon sashimi were fresh and tender with the moderate fat.

The tuna sashimi looked red and tasty!

The marlin sashimi tasted fresh and good!

Besides the abundant thick-cut sashimi, the fresh seafood salad and vegetables were also included in the set meal!

The good-smelling grilled salmon sushi were also included in the set meal. The grilled salmon sushi were so scrumptious!

The side dish, deep fried tofu, was really fantastic with the seasonings, minced scallions and salmon roe!

The fish miso soup tasted so fresh and great! The combination of fresh fish and miso was perfect!

At last, I enjoyed the dessert, handmade soy milk tofu. It was topped with the black sugar syrup. The smooth tofu with the black sugar was the dessert making me so delightful!

I really loved Canlan Japanese Cuisine (燦爛和食) so much, especially its pretty fresh seafood. The other foods, meats and desserts, were also high-quality! Moreover, here was no additional service charge! The only disadvantage here was cash only! Credit cards were unaccepted here!
