Gang Feng Lao Mian Fan Tang (港豐撈麵飯堂), the Popular and Excellent Hong Kong-Style Restaurant in Banqiao, New Taipei, Taiwan!


In the evening of Feb. 15, 2020, my friend and I would like to have dinner together. Therefore we headed to the very popular Hong Kong-Style Restaurant, Gang Feng Lao Mian Fan Tang (港豐撈麵飯堂), together. It was located near MRT Xinpu Station, Banqiao, New Taipei, Taiwan!

When we arrived at Gang Feng Lao Mian Fan Tang (港豐撈麵飯堂), we saw all the seats indoors occupied and some people waiting outdoors.


Firstly, we entered the restaurant and wrote down my name on the waiting list. Secondly, we took the menu and considered about our order during the queueing period.


The set recommended by Unique TV (非凡推薦美食套餐) seemed quite good!


So we decided to ordered the set recommended by Unique TV (非凡推薦美食套餐) at 560 TWD (= 18.65 USD) and a steamer of double shrimp shumai at 108 TWD (= 3.6 USD)!


We had our seats soon after placing our order!


Our beverages were firstly served. My friend's beverage was coffee milk tea (鴛鴦奶茶), and mine was iced lemon tea (凍檸茶). Personally speaking, the iced lemon tea tasted as good as I had in Hong Kong and Vancouver, Canada!


The next dish was the baked BBQ pork bun with powdered sugar. The powdered sugar on the bun looked as beautiful as the snow flake.



The outside of baked BBQ pork bun tasted like a fluffy bread. The combination of the slightly sweet BBQ pork and powdered sugar was fantastic! On the whole, it was absolutely worth a try!



The next dish was the sakura shrimp & scallion rice noodle roll (櫻花蝦蔥花腸粉).


Enjoying the dish from the bottom was smart. The rice noodle roll absorbing the sauce tasted great with the sakura shrimp and scallion!



The deep fried chestnut sticks (馬蹄條) were hot, golden and crispy!



The stuffing of chestnut sticks (馬蹄條) was fluffy and delicious. The dish was a nice dessert!


The salmon shumai (海皇鮭魚餃) here was topped with the mouth-watering salmon roe and perilla leaf.


The combination of the fresh pork stuffing at the bottom and the savory salmon roe was so perfect!


The main course of the set was the steamed mushroom & chicken rice (原盅北菇滑雞飯). The rice was topped with the mushrooms, chicken, over-easy egg and vegetables.


The egg yolk here was still runny. The runny yolk made this main dish even more mouth-watering!


The rice absorbing the egg yolk and sauce tasted too good to forget with the slightly fragrant mushrooms and tender & juicy chicken.


Besides the set recommended by Unique TV (非凡推薦美食套餐), we ordered an additional steamer of double shrimp shumai (雙蝦仁燒賣)!



The shrimps on the shumai were fresh, tasty and large! The shrimps and the pork stuffing were so satisfying!



Additionally, customers could get a free bowl of sago soup for dessert by checking in and uploading the photos here!



Besides the scrumptious foods here, the servants that day were not only friendly but also enthusiastic! The service here was not as poor as in Hong Kong!

We both think the foods at Gang Feng Lao Mian Fan Tang (港豐撈麵飯堂) are so heavenly and reasonably priced. It's the Hong Kong-style restaurant which is worth visiting again and again!
