On Sep. 28, 2019, my friends and I met in Ximending, Taipei, Taiwan. We were going to the pretty popular movie, Detention (返校). After we bought our tickets, we still had some time. Therefore we walked to Tianshe Handmade Noodles (田舍手打麵) for dinner nearby.
Tianshe Handmade Noodles (田舍手打麵) had 4 branches in the Greater Taipei Area. The branch we visited this time was located on the land of Xining S. Rd (西寧南路).
We saw an adorable cat at its entrance!
The indoor space was not wide, and seats were only a few. The seats were all occupied after we had our seats that day.
The signature at Tianshe Handmade Noodles (田舍手打麵) was, of course, the al dente udon noodles!
I just ordered a bowl of shrimp handmade udon noodle soup at 140 TWD (= 4.51 USD). My friend ordered a bowl of shrimp & pork handmade udon noodle soup at 190 TWD (= 6.12 USD) Additionally, we ordered a side dish, tofu puff, at 30 TWD (= 0.97 USD).
The tofu puff was slightly fried. The texture of inside was fluffy. Additionally, it tasted a little sweet but so great!
After a while, our handmade udon noodles were served.
Compared with mine, here were two additional toppings, pork and egg drop, on my friend's udon noodle.
The soup here tasted fresh and mild with the unique aroma of seafood.
Here were 5 shrimps on the udon noodles. The shrimp tasted very good and fresh!
Its udon noodles were also quite al dente. The udon noodles tasted even better with the umami soup!
The tofu puff on the noodles was as tasty as the side dish!
Personally speaking, Tianshe Handmade Noodles (田舍手打麵) is a pretty good restaurant. The portion here was so large. The udon noodles here were also quite affordable in Ximending, Downtown, Taipei.
After finish the fresh, mild and satisfying udon noodles at Tianshe Handmade Noodles (田舍手打麵), we walked back to the movie theater and enjoyed the amazing movie, Detention (返校)!
