Fuding Casserole Congee (富鼎砂鍋粥), the Restaurant Serving Fantastic Congee Full of Seafood in Xinzhuang, New Taipei, Taiwan

On Jul. 7, 2019, my relatives and I visited Xinzhuang, New Taipei, Taiwan. That day we enjoyed our dinner at Fuding Casserole Congee (富鼎砂鍋粥).

In fact, we had been to this restaurant for several times, but I had always forgot to take photos to record before.

That day we 6 people only ordered the scallop congee for 4 people at 850 TWD (= 27.26 USD) because we intended to order some stir-fried dishes.

We made a reservation and ordered the scallop congee for 4 by phone earlier that day. Because the casserole congee took longer time to boil, placing the order about congee when reserving would be a better option.

Our scallop congee was served when we had seats because of our pre-order.

Personally speaking, the food materials in the scallop congee here were various and plentiful. Besides the main, scallops, here were also shrimps, pork balls and squid balls in the congee.

The rice in the congee was so soft. The soup had not only the umami taste of seafood but also aroma of nut paste. The whole congee was so tasty and smooth that I couldn't help but enjoy one bowl after another!

It also served its special health tea for free!

Its stir-fried dishes were mostly great! Some of dishes were usually ordered by me when visiting Fuding Casserole Congee (富鼎砂鍋粥).

Most of their prices were very reasonable!

Customers could see the whole menu on its official website.  http://www.fu-ding.com/menus.html

Signature egg tofu (招牌蛋豆腐) at 120 TWD (= 3.85 USD)
Basically, I always ordered the signature egg tofu (招牌蛋豆腐) when visiting here. The inside of slightly fried egg tofu was so smooth! The egg tofu tasted so great with the topped bonito flakes and bottom soy sauce.

Deep-fried pumpkins with salted egg yolk (金沙南瓜) at 150 TWD (= 4.81 USD)
Its deep-fried pumpkins with salted egg yolk (金沙南瓜) was also strongly recommended! The combination of crispy pumpkin slices and salted egg yolk was really flawless! I also always ordered it at Fuding Casserole Congee (富鼎砂鍋粥)!

Sweet and sour fish fillet (糖醋魚片) at 150 TWD (= 4.81 USD)
The fillet in Sweet and sour fish fillet (糖醋魚片) was so tender. It was pretty appetizing with the sweet and sour sauce!

Scrambled eggs with shrimps (滑蛋蝦仁) at 180 TWD (= 5.77 USD)
The shrimps in the dish were fresh with firm texture. They tasted quite delicious with the fluffy and smooth scrambled eggs!

Mutton and water spinach with shacha sauce (沙茶羊肉) at 150 TWD (= 4.81 USD)
The mutton and water spinach with shacha sauce (沙茶羊肉) was my top choice of vegetable dishes. The mutton and water spinach were stirred and fried with fragrant shacha sauce. The combination was a typical Taiwanese cuisine. This dish tasted heavier.

Hakka stir-fried (客家小炒) at 130 TWD (= 4.17 USD)
The hakka stir-fried (客家小炒) consisted of fatty pork, dried bean curd and some spices like scallions, sprouts and chili peppers. Personally speaking, it was not my taste.

The congee at Fuding Casserole Congee (富鼎砂鍋粥) is not only scrumptious but also full of fresh seafood! Additionally, the stir-fried dishes are also great!

But it's very hard to park nearby on the weekend, especially when baseball games take place. Visiting here via public transportation would be a smart option. The nearest MRT station is MRT Xinzhuang Station.
