On Jan. 8, 2019, to have dinner with my friends, we visited the very famous and popular dumpling restaurant, Takumi Dumplings (巧之味手工水餃), near MRT Shandao Temple Station, Taipei, Taiwan.
On Jan. 8, 2019, to have dinner with my friends, we visited the very famous and popular dumpling restaurant, Takumi Dumplings (巧之味手工水餃), near MRT Shandao Temple Station, Taipei, Taiwan.
Because there had always been many customers queueing at Takumi Dumplings (巧之味手工水餃), we planned to enjoy our dinner there at 17:30!
Luckily, we arrived here enough early to avoid queueing and have our seats soon!
In fact, this was not my 1st time to eat its dumplings at Takumi Dumplings (巧之味手工水餃). I used to have lunch or dinner here if having some courses nearby when I was a university student. The customers here were quite many then.
Due to the growth of the quantity of tourists to Taiwan, Takumi Dumplings (巧之味手工水餃) also became even more popular. Now, it's pretty hard to avoid wasting time lining up.
Because of more and more international tourists, Takumi Dumplings' menu became in multiple language. And the indoor designs became more beautiful than before.
Takumi Dumplings (巧之味手工水餃) also sells its frozen dumplings. You can follow the instuction step by step to cook the yummy frozen dumplings.
We ordered some bowls of hot and sour soup and a dish of braised pig scalp. The soup and side dish were both at 30 TWD (= 0.98 USD) ea. It was quite good!
We also ordered 15 dumplings respectively. The prices of dumplings here were the following: Chive Dumpling: 6 TWD (= 0.19 USD) ea., Signature Dumpling: 6 TWD (= 0.19 USD) ea., Scallop Dumpling: 8 TWD (= 0.26 USD).
At first, our chive dumplings and signature dumplings were served.
The chive dumpling here had a aroma of chives. It tasted fresh and yummy!
The signature dumpling tasted mild with the hotbed chives inside. It was also quite delicious!
Actually the both were very appetizing! It depended on personal preference.
Although the above dumplings were delicious, the next one was the main course that day, the scallop dumpling!
The green and a little light dumpling pastry with some green algae looked not only pretty but also mouth-watering. The stuffing inside was made of minced fresh pork and cabbage. Plus, the dominant ingredient, scallop, made the stuffing more fantastic! The stuffing and dumpling pastry were the impeccable golden combination! Although the price was higher than the other dumplings, it was definitely worth a try!
Although the other dumplings tasted also good, we all thought the scallop dumpling was the best of them!
If you like its dumplings and dislike queueing, you could buy some frozen dumplings and follow the instruction to cook the dumpling by yourself!
