Mingchu Teppanyaki (名廚鐵板燒), the Affordable and Nice Restaurant near Fu Jen University, Xinzhuang, New Taipei, Taiwan!

In the afternoon of Aug. 18, 2020, my friend and I went bowling in Xinzhuang, New Taipei, Taiwan. After bowling, we walked to Mingchu Teppanyaki (名廚鐵板燒) for dinner near MRT Fu Jen University Station (捷運輔大站)!

We saw the menu at the entrance of Mingchu Teppanyaki (名廚鐵板燒). The foods here seemed affordable!

Mingchu Teppanyaki (名廚鐵板燒) was always popular! Here were all the seats occupied in side the restaurant.

I ordered a set of teppanyaki squid (鐵板花枝) at 170 TWD (= 5.8 USD), and my friend ordered a set of sirloin steak (沙朗牛排) at 200 TWD (= 6.82 USD). We both additionally ordered a dish of a basil egg (九層塔蛋) at 20 TWD (= 0.68 USD) per dish.

The soup, rice and beverages were all included in the set meal at Mingchu Teppanyaki (名廚鐵板燒).

The soup, rice and beverages were all self-served. Customers could get more for free!

The first dish was the stir-fried vegetables. It looked very large! The dish consisted of 2 kinds of vegetables, the cabbages and bean sprouts. The stir-fried vegetables smelled very good with butter aroma. I loved its aroma so much!

Watching the chef professionally cook the various meal was also an enjoyment of the teppanyaki!

Our basil eggs and main course were also sizzling on the hot iron plate!

My friend's sirloin steak was firstly served. I just tried a bite. The sirloin steak seemed medium-well but very tender.

And then my main course, teppanyaki squid, was also served!

The teppanyaki squid was slightly springy. The hot squid and rice were fantastic with the butter and species like scallions, garlic, chili peppers and onions!

Moreover, the rice here was high-quality, Its texture was grainy but a little sticky. It differed form some restaurants which served the overcooked and soft rice in Taiwan. 

I also strongly recommended the add-on, basil egg. I usually additionally ordered the basil egg when visiting which served the overcooked and soft rice.

The fried basil eggs with the mouth-watering butter and basil aroma were always satisfying to me!

Personally speaking, the food quality is high at Mingchu Teppanyaki (名廚鐵板燒), and the prices here were reasonable. It's a very nice option when dining in the Southern Xinzhuang.
