In the afternoon of Jun. 20, 2020, my friend and I walked to Sweet Potato Jelly (涼粉伯) nearby for dessert after we had lunch at Huian Four Sprits Soup (惠安四神湯), Wanhua, Taipei, Taiwan!
Sweet Potato Jelly (涼粉伯) is located neat the riverside of West Taipei. The nearest MRT station was MRT Longshan Temple Station (捷運龍山寺站).
Sweet Potato Jelly (涼粉伯) only specialized in the traditional Taiwanese dessert, sweet potato jelly (涼粉).
The sweet potato jelly was quite affordable! Its price was 40 TWD (= 1.35 USD) per bowl. Here was the dining area but no air condition.
The sweet potato jelly (涼粉) was the transparent hunks of mixture of sweet potato powder and water which solidified. The sweet potato jelly was topped with the roasted wheat flour.
The sweet potato jelly (涼粉) was iced, springy but not sticky. With the good-smelling and sweet roasted wheat flour, it was the fantastic traditional Taiwanese dessert!
Sweet Potato Jelly (涼粉伯) is always very popular with customers. Its signature, sweet potato jelly, is often sold out before it closes. People who would like to try the traditional Taiwanese dessert had better visit here earlier.
Sweet Potato Jelly (涼粉伯) has established in Wanhua, Taipei, Taiwan since 1960. Personally speaking, I hope the traditional Taiwanese dessert will still keep operation in the future!
