(中文版：老賊壽司，台灣桃園，受在地人歡迎的平價台式壽司)
At noon of Mar. 1, 2020, I attended my friends' wedding in Taoyuan, Taiwan. After that, another friend of mine and I enjoyed some coffee at the Louisa Coffee nearby due to the heavy rain. In the evening, it stopped raining. We headed to the famous Laozei Sushi (老賊壽司) restaurant for dinner near the intersection of Zhongzheng and Sanmin Rd., Downtown Taoyuan.
Laozei Sushi (老賊壽司) specialized in various Taiwanese sushi. Not like Japanese nigiri sushi, Taiwanese sushi were mainly nori rice rolls.
After we placed our orders on the 1st floor, we took our sushi to the seat area on the 2nd floor.
Here were the table seats on the 2nd floor. They were more comfortable than the bar seats on the 1st floor.
We ordered 3 boxes of sushi, the smoked chicken (燻雞), cheese (起司) and tuna (鮪魚) sushi!
The good-smelling smoked chicken, eggs and cucumber within the nori and sushi rice tasted better than I expexted!
The cheese sushi mainly based on the ham and cheese. The slightly salty cheese and ham within the nori and sushi rice were the common and typical Taiwanese sushi roll.
The tuna sushi based on the tuna, pork floss and mayonnaise. It stroke a good balance between the salty and sweet taste. It was also the classic Taiwanese sushi roll!
The Taiwanese sushi at Laozei Sushi (老賊壽司) was quite affordable, and its portion was large enough. The traditional and classic Taiwanese sushi here also tasted good!
