Chen's Minced Pork Rice Noodles (陳記肉燥米粉湯), the Top Choice at Late Night in Tucheng, New Taipei, Taiwan!

At night of Mar. 7, 2020, my friend invited me to have the late night food together. After our discussion, we decided to head to Chen's Minced Pork Rice Noodles (陳記肉燥米粉湯), Tucheng, New Taipei, Taiwan!

We took the MRT along Blue Line from Taipei Main Station to MRT Haishan Station and then rode the shared bike to the intersection of Jincheng Rd. and Lide Rd.. We arrived at Chen's Minced Pork Rice Noodles (陳記肉燥米粉湯) at 00:30, Mar. 8.

Here was the menu with photos at its entrance. It was a big help for customers!

Even at late night, here were still so many customers inside the restaurant!

Here was a super big fish in the fish tank! But it looked inedible!

I ordered a bowl of pork & shiitake congee (香菇肉粥), and my friend ordered a bowl of rice noodle soup (米粉湯). Additionally, we ordered 3 deep fried dishes, tofu (炸豆腐), braised pork (炸紅燒肉) and shrimps (炸蝦仁酥). They cost us totally 190 TWD (= 6.35 USD).

Our dishes were soon served! The deep fried foods seemed to be freshly fried! They were still quite hot.

The price of rice noodle soup (米粉湯) here was only 25 TWD (= 0.84 USD) per bowl. It was so large in portion! The rice noodles were thick with nice texture!

My pork & shiitake congee (香菇肉粥) also looked quite large! It only cost me 25 TWD (= 0.84 USD). It smelled full of fried shallot with a little shiitake aroma. With some white pepper powder, the congee was very fantastic late night food with doubt!

Personally speaking, I strongly recommend the sweet chili sauce (甜辣醬) here. The deep fired dishes here with the sauce tasted much better!

The price of deep fried tofu (炸豆腐) was just 20 TWD (= 0.67 TWD).

The deep fried tofu was very crispy outside but quite soft inside. With the sweet chili sauce, the tofu tasted so great!

The price of deep fried braised pork (炸紅燒肉) was 60 TWD (= 2.01 USD). The dish consisted of the freshly-fried and hot braised pork and sliced cucumbers.

The hot and moderate deep fried braised pork with fresh sliced cucumbers and sweet chili sauce was so heavenly!

Here were so many deep fried shrimps in a dish only at 60 TWD (= 2.01 USD)!

The shrimps with the thin batter were freshly fried! The hot deep fried shrimps with the sliced cucumbers and sweet chili sauce was too hard to resist one bite after another.

After we finished the food, we ordered the extra deep fried tofu at 20 TWD (= 0.67 USD)! Therefore the late night foods totally cost us 210 TWD (= 7.02 USD).

We both think the foods at Chen's Minced Pork Rice Noodles (陳記肉燥米粉湯) are not only affordable and delicious but also optimized for portion at late night!
