A Wei Myanmar Snacks (阿薇緬甸小吃店), Serving the Affordable and Delicious Burmese Foods in Zhonghe, New Taipei, Taiwan!
In the morning of Mar. 17, 2020, I rode the Youbike, Taipei's shared bike, along the riverside from Xinzhuang, New Taipei, Taiwan to Renai Park (仁愛公園), Yonghe. My friend and I met there, and then we rode the shared bikes along Wayao Creek (瓦磘溝) passing through Zhonghe and Yonghe to Burma Street (Huaxin Street, 華新街) near MRT Nanshijiao Station.
Here were various Burmese noodles on the menu.
I ordered a bowl of Khao Soi Noodles (金山麵) at 70 TWD (= 2.32 USD) and a bowl of fish soup (魚湯) at 20 TWD (= 0.66 USD).
The space inside the restaurant was not large, and the seats were also not many. But we didn't waste time queueing because we visited here during the brunch time.
After a while, my Khao Soi Noodles (金山麵) and fish soup (魚湯) were both served!
Here was no fish chunk in the fish soup. The soup was still full of the savory taste and aroma of fish! It tasted very smooth and mild!
Here were some plantain stems in the soup! Plantain stems were not so common in Taiwanese cuisine!
The Khao Soi noodles had the aroma of curry and fried shallot. They smelled so mouth-watering!
For the chili lovers, the noodles tasted even more delicious with some dried chili pepper and chili oil!
After finishing the wonderful Burmese brunch, we were both pretty satisfied with the meals here! Next, we walked to Burmese tea house nearby to enjoy the rare Burmese desserts in Taiwan!
