On Jul. 28, 2019, my friend and I was going to have dinner together in Downtown Taipei, Taiwan. Unfortunately, we had visited several restaurants, but they were all closed on Sundays. The last restaurant we headed to was Lane 10 Curry Rice (十巷咖哩). Eventually, a popular restaurant opened on Sundays.
Although Lane 10 Curry Rice (十巷咖哩), it was too popular with customers. We just placed our order and paid the bill inside, and then we queued and waited for the seats available.
Luckily, we were not so hungry! Queueing for half an hour was still an acceptable option!
We both ordered the 2-in-1 curry combo (雙拼咖哩) at 175 TWD (= 5.57 USD). The 2-in-1 combo consisted of two main courses, deep-fried pork cutlets and chicken!
The space in the restaurant was not too wide. Here was only one narrow aisle!
Here was also some tea served by customers themselves.
Here was also the hooks for customers under the counter.
Here were too many customers that day, so only part of the main courses, deep-fried chicken and curry rice, were served at first. The remaining would come after a while.
The sunny-side-up egg looked so attractive!
Moreover, the deep-fried chicken here was not only golden and crispy outside but also tender and juicy inside! What a fantastic deep-fried chicken!
Here were also lots of vegetables in the curry rice! Additionally, a slice of guava, too!
Its curry sauce tasted spicier than the common curry in Taiwan.
Personally speaking, I loved the spicy curry here so much! It was always so matched with hot rice!
After a while, the missing deep-fried pork cutlet was eventually served!
The pork cutlets here were all thick and large! Their batter was thin and crispy!
Although the inside of deep-fried pork cutlet tasted slightly dry, it was still good with curry sauce and rice!
Additionally, customers could get the extra curry sauce and rice for free! The policy made sure customers here were all full after finishing! I was really so full after finishing!
It was a small shame that the main courses weren't served together, so I had to wait for the remaining part, deep-fried pork cutlets to take beautiful photos before I started to tuck in.
But the deep-fried food here still tasted crispy! Although its deep-fried pork cutlet was good, I loved its crispy, fresh, tender and juicy deep-fried chicken even more! They were perfectly combined with the spicy curry and unlimited rice! Without doubt, the curry rice here was not only affordable but also very delicious!
