In the morning of Dec. 24, 2018, I started from the hotel I stayed in Haiki, Nagasaki, Japan and took the train to Sasebo for breakfast. The restaurant I visited that morning was Black (ブラック)!
Black (ブラック) in fact was a 24-hour bar. There were not too many customers in the morning.
Black's signature, of course, was the black squid ink curry!
The prices on its menu didn't include VAT. Its VAT was additional 8%.
Besides its menu in Japanese, here was also the menu in English!
The indoor designs of the bar looked quite unique!
I ordered a spicy hamburger curry at 1,160 JPY (= 10.69 USD) and a raw egg at 100 JPY (= 0.92 USD). Including the VAT, the price was totally 1,350 JPY (= 12.44 USD)
A dish of salad was included in the curry set. The salad tasted pretty fresh!
The color of curry was pretty black. It looked so special and tasted quite spicy!
The quality of raw egg was pretty high! The raw egg and rice tasted great with or without the black curry!
The home-made hamburger steak looked very thick, but it tasted not only tender but also juicy!
Although having spicy curry for breakfast was a little intense, it was still pretty delicious! After my breakfast, I took a stroll in Downtown Sasebo.
By the way, if you can eat 5 dishes of the spicy black curry rice without any water, you can have a free meal at Black (ブラック)!
