On Sep. 8, 2017, we drove to Hamaya, the famous restaurant for Okinawa soba in Chatan, Okinawa, Japan. When we arrived at the restaurant, we saw the red line across the road from it. Therefore we couldn't park here. We went along the seashore to get a parking lot.

We eventually parked a little far from Hamaya. We just enjoyed Okinawa's beautiful sunset during the stroll to Hamaya.

After 10 minutes, we got to Hamaya. There were lots of choices on its menu.

We just bought our food tickets at the ticket vending machine and then gave them to servers! Without any hesitation, I chose Hamaya's signature, Okinawa Soba and Jushi Combo at JPY 750!

The interior decoration was quite local and traditional. There were 2 kinds of seats, chair and tatami. Of course, we chose the chair-type seats.

Soon, our Okinawa Soba and Jushi combos were served to us!
Frankly speaking, I didn't look forward to the Okinawa Soba because I had tried Okinawa Soba at another restaurant during my 1st time Okinawa trip and felt a little disappointed.

Anyway, here went nothing. Tasting was believing. I just tried Hamaya's Okinawa Soba.

After I tried Hamaya' Okinawa Soba, the image of Okinawa Soba in my mind was dramatically improved! What a scrumptious bowl of Okinawa Soba!
Not only its noodles were al dente, but also the soup was light but umami! I couldn't help but finish the bowl of Okinawa Soba too soon! Additionally, the stewed pork was very tender, and the egg omelette made the bowl of Okinawa Soba more colorful. I was fully satisfied!

And the one you shouldn't also miss was Okinawa Jushi. The rice was well-cooked and smelled good! It tasted also light and scrumptious, not oily at all!
I'd really like to eat one more bowl of Okinawa Jushi!

Although the combo consisted of noodles and rice, full of starch, it was really far beyond my expectation before! Therefore I took the photo of the gate of Hamaya as a memento.
After the satisfying dinner, we drove south to Mihama America Village to go shopping and enjoy the beautiful night view!
