Chen Ramen (辰拉麵), Serving the Rich and Scrumptious Pork Bone Soy Sauce Ramen in Yonghe, New Taipei, Taiwan!


In the afternoon of Mar. 24, 2020, my friend and I rode the bicycles along the riverside of New Taipei, Taiwan. After we had cycled around Sanchong and Luzhou, we headed to Yonghe for ramen along the riverside by bike!

So, we arrived at Chen Ramen (辰拉麵) in Yonghe. It was located near MRT Dingxi Station.


We arrived here roughly at 17:30. Here were not too many customer both inside and outside the restaurant. The owner of Chen Ramen (辰拉麵) served and introduced the menu to us with enthusiasm! 


After we placed our orders, we were looking forward to our ramen with patience at our seats!


My friend ordered the salt chicken ramen with XL sous vide pork (鹽味雞湯拉麵叉燒大滿足) at 280 TWD (= 9.28 USD) per bowl. The golden chicken soup fully topped with slices of sous vide pork looked so mouth-watering!


I ordered the pork bone soy sauce ramen with XL sous vide pork (豚骨醬油拉麵叉燒大滿足) at 300 TWD (= 9.94 USD) per bowl. My ramen smelled so good with the rich and thick aroma of soy sauce and pork fat.


Over half area of the bowl was covered by the sliced sous vide pork. The sliced pork looked beautiful and pink.


The sliced sous vide pork tasted not only extremely fresh but also tender!


The soy sauce soup was full of the lard. It smelled so good with the mixed aroma of the lard and soy sauce, but no gamy odor! The ramen soup here was so fantastic!


Customers here could choose the texture of noodles. Of course, I liked the firm noodles! The noodles here was quite al dente! With the mixed soup of soy sauce and lard, the noodles tasted so great!


The dried bamboo shoots tasted a little sweet. I couldn't help but enjoyed them one bite after another. The bamboo shoots here was also a good option of the transit of tastes.


Moreover, the runniess of the soft-boiled egg was so great. The egg yolk inside looked pasty. The egg tasted so impeccable!


The additional noodles at Chen Ramen (辰拉麵) were also free! The 1st 2 portions of noodles were free for every customers. Because we had ridden the bikes for 3 hours along the riverside before we arrived here, I, of course, ordered the maximum freebies, 2 portions of  noodles!


The clear broth was also served here. I poured some clear broth into my pork bone soy sauce ramen to balance the taste and saltiness.


Because of doing much exercise, my friend and I both additionally ordered the BBQ pork rice (叉燒飯) at 50 TWD (= 1.65 USD) per bowl.


The BBQ pork rice smelled so great and mouth-watering when it was served!


The grilled minced sous vide pork and mayonnaise was too good-smelling to resist. With the fresh scallions and grainy rice, the BBQ pork rice was so fantastic! In fact, it was absolutely worth a try!


After we finished the scrumptious ramen and BBQ pork rice, it was the dinner time! We saw the customers queueing outside Chen Ramen (辰拉麵) longer and longer!

Personally speaking, Chen Ramen (辰拉麵) is absolutely worth visiting! The pork bone soy sauce ramen is so scrumptious, but it tasted a little oily due to the lard. The BBQ pork rice is also worth a try!

Next time, I'd like to try the salt chicken ramen here when visiting Chen Ramen (辰拉麵) again!
