Handmade Steamed Dumplings (手工蒸餃), Serving the Super Delicious Steamed Dumplings near Tamkang University, Tamsui, New Taipei, Taiwan!
On Jan. 29, 2019, my friend and I headed to Tamsui, New Taipei, Taiwan to walk and try the new open tram, Danhai Light Rail (淡海輕軌)!
After the sunset, we walked to Handmade Steamed Dumplings (手工蒸餃) near Tankang University. We'd like to enjoy our dinner here!
Although Handmade Steamed Dumplings (手工蒸餃) was just a small restaurant, it was still quite popular! We came here at 18:00, common dinner time. The corn dumplings here were all sold out!
The dumplings here based on pork. The corn dumplings I planned to ordered were sold out, so we just ordered steamed cabbage dumplings and leek dumplings.
The 10 steamed cabbage dumplings in a dish cost us 50 TWD (= 1.66 USD). The dumpling wrapper looked quite thin.
The texture of dumpling wrapper was al-dente, and the stuffing was full and juicy. Especially the cabbage inside was crispy and fresh! The dumplings tasted great both with or without soy sauce.
The 10 steamed leek dumplings in a dish also cost us 50 TWD (= 1.66 USD). The dumpling wrappers were so thin that we could clearly see the color of stuffing inside!
The dumplings were not only juicy and thin-wrapped, but also the stuffing consist of full of leeks with mouth-watering aroma!
After finishing the steamed dumplings, we'd like to eat more! This time we'd like to try fried dumplings. Therefore we ordered an additional dish of fried cabbage dumplings at 60 TWD (= 1.99 USD).
The wrappers of fried dumplings looked slightly burnt and tasted a little crispy! With the fresh cabbage and minced pork inside, the fried dumplings were fantastic!
It was a shame that we didn't have any opportunity to try the steamed or fried corn dumplings. In fact, I've visited Tamsui, New Taipei, Taiwan for several times since then, but every time when I arrived at Handmade Steamed Dumplings (手工蒸餃), all of the dumplings here were sold out! Without doubt, Handmade Steamed Dumplings (手工蒸餃) was quite popular with local residents in Tamsui, New Taipei, Taiwan!
