Shih Fu-Jian's Tasty Chicken (施福建好吃雞肉), Serving the Affordable, Delicious and Fresh Chicken in Ximending, Taipei, Taiwan!

On Sep. 6, 2019, my friend and I went to Ximending, Taipei, Taiwan for lunch. We visited the restaurant, Shih Fu-Jian's Tasty Chicken (施福建好吃雞肉), near the river embankment. It was the time-honored restaurant established since 1962!

We saw the chef cutting the chicken professionally and quickly at its entrance.

Here were full of customers in this restaurant. It was a popular time-honored restaurant with locals!

The surroundings here looked slightly crowded.

I simply ordered a bowl of chicken oil rice at 10 TWD (= 0.32 USD) and a small dish of chicken at 30 TWD (= 0.96 USD). My friend ordered a large dish of chicken at 100 TWD (= 3.21 USD).

The service here looked slightly chaotic. Sometimes we had to ask the servants here.

After a while, my order was served!

Customers dining here could enjoy a free bowl of chicken soup. It tasted light and mild with the aroma of chicken and female ginseng.

The chicken oil rice smelled good with chicken oil aroma. It tasted good with the slightly sweet soy sauce!

I didn't asked for the specific part of chicken, so finally I got a dish of chicken breast. But the texture of chicken was slightly tender and firm. The chicken tasted very good with sweet soy sauce and chicken oil rice!

Although I heard that the chicken thigh was even more delicious after that, its price would also higher.

Personally speaking, the chicken at Shih Fu-Jian's Tasty Chicken (施福建好吃雞肉) was the pretty affordable gourmet. That would be the reason why it was always so popular with local residents! But its environment was not so ideal.
