Moriya Shoten(森谷 商店), the Popular and Historic Korokke Shop Est. 1873

On Aug. 29, 2017, the 2nd day of our trip to Kansai Area, Japan, my friend and I took a stroll in Downtown Kobe after enjoying the scrumptious Kobe beef for lunch. When we walked to Motomachi in Downtown Kobe, I saw people queueing in front of the store, Moriya Shoten(森谷 商店). I decided to follow them!

In fact, I know that Moriya Shoten(森谷 商店) has been established since 1873 when editing the post! I didn't know it when lining up.

The prices were quite affordable. The lowest one was from 90 JPY (= 0.79 USD).

Because I was so full, I only ordered one 1st popular 90-JPY korokke to try!

It took me a while to get the hot and fresh korokke!

The outside of the korokke was so crispy and hot! And the inside of korokke made up of mashed potato, ground beef and onions was smooth and enticing! The old shop deserved its popularity and reputation!

Moriya Shoten(森谷 商店) also supplied the premium Japanese beef. But the kitchen was not included in the hotel we stayed at. We just went window shopping!

I think if you're going to visit Kobe, Hyogo, Japan, you shouldn't miss the yummy snacks after the delicious meals!
