Taipei Sightseeing Double-Decker Bus, Another Way to Experience Taipei!

Recently Taipei has launched double-decker bus to promote tourism! To fulfill our curiosity, my friend and I decided to go to Taipei Main Station and then try the new service!

The bus stop was near Exit M4 of Taipei Main Station. The regular price of 4-hour ticket was TWD 300 (USD 9.6). We bought one bus ticket there and got one free due to the opening promotion. That was really a bargain!

There are 2 routes, blue and red. The red one goes back and forth between Taipei Main Station and Taipei 101 along Zhongxiao E. Road and Xinyi Rd. The blue one goes back and forth between Taipei Main Station and National Palace Museum along Zhongshan N. Road. We chose the blue route that day!

At the beginning of our bus trip, the weather was not good. It seemed to rain soon.

The destination of the bus was National Palace Museum. But due to our schedule that day, we didn't have enough time to visit the museum. What a shame! We just went back to our starting point, Taipei Main Station, by the same bus!

The round trip took us roughly 1.5 hours.

Personally speaking, I strongly recommend the sightseeing double-decker bus! Especially when the weather is pretty good! It provides different angles of view to see the city, Taipei.
