North Dumpling(北方水餃), the Popular and Delicious Dumpling Restaurant Est. 1982 in Taichung, Taiwan!

On Oct. 5, 2017, the 5th day of our journey around Taiwan, my friend and I rode our motorbikes to Taichung from Tainan. Eventually we arrived in Taichung that evening!

My companion was almost exhausted due to the road trip. Therefore I went out for dinner after we checked in at the hotel.

I thought of the wonderful dumpling restaurant one of my local friends in Taichung, introduced to me when I visited her in 2015 in Taichung, Taiwan. But because I didn't plan to upload my post on my personal blog then, I didn't record the details about the restaurant. That was why I couldn't remember its name.

When it came to this situation, the only thing I could do was to ask the omniscient and omnipotent God, Google, for help. After keying in the keywords "台中 水餃" ("Taichung Dumplings"), I considered that North Dumpling(北方水餃) had a close similarity to the dumpling restaurant I had visited in 2015.

Luckily, the hotel we stayed at was not too distant to get to North Dumpling(北方水餃)! It only took me 5 minutes to get there by motorcycle. The restaurant looked so familiar. It seemed that I found the right answer!

I ordered 12 dumplings as soon as I entered North Dumpling(北方水餃)!

Because the dumplings were freshly wrapped and cooked, and the customers came to the restaurant one after another for here or to go even at 20:00. Keeping patient after ordering was probably necessary.

It was a good time to make my own dip for the dumplings!

The dumplings here tasted so umami! The dumplings are full of pork, green onion and cabbage inside! They were all freshly wrapped and cooked. How fresh and delicious they were! It only cost me 5 TWD (=0.17 USD) per dumpling. Comparing to the price in Taipei, Taiwan, it was still acceptable!

I shared the photos of the dumplings with my friend taking a rest at the hotel. He asked me to take out 10 dumplings! I also wanted 5 additional dumplings! Because our hotel was not far from North Dumpling(北方水餃), the dumplings still tasted hot and yummy after I got back to the hotel!

I enjoyed the dumplings my friend in Taichung had recommended in 2015 during the journey around Taiwan in 2017. Not only it was still so fresh and tasty, but also it made me think time flew. Two years went so fast!
