Osoba Kouko(蕎麥麵 幸呼), Enjoying the Delicious 100% Buckwheat Noodles in Taipei, Taiwan!

On Aug. 24, 2017, my friend from Canada and I visited our mutual friend in Xindian, New Taipei, Taiwan in the morning. And then we moved to Osoba Kouko near MRT Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall Station Station to have the tasty 100% buckwheat noodles(soba) for lunch!

The weather in August in Taipei, Taiwan was hatefully hot. As soon as we had seats, we asked for lots of ice water. We started to order after cooling down.

After I took a look at the menu, I decided to order "zarusoba served with duck and green onion dipping hot sauce". It cost me 240 TWD(=7.94 USD) and additional 10% service charge.

The dipping sauce smelled so attractive! The rich aroma of duck went into my nose!

The soba noodles were 100% Buckwheat Noodles. In the other words, They were made from 100% Buckwheat, no wheat. The soba noodles were a little softer but with better aroma.

After dipping the sauce, I tried the soba noodles. They were perfectly matched. It's quite hard to stop enjoying the duck soba!

The several chunks of ducks in the dipping sauce made the rich dipping sauce closed to the perfection!

After I finished my soba noodles, I asked the server for the water used for cooking soba noodles. I mix the water with the dipping sauce, and then it became the smooth and delicious soup!

Because most of Japanese noodle restaurant in Taipei, Taiwan mainly served ramen, the soba restaurants were quite rare. It was my first time to have soba noodles in Taipei, Taiwan. It was a very good experience for me. I'd like to enjoy the soba again at Osoba Kouko(蕎麥麵 幸呼)!
