Chungchimeiwei Douliu Dong Quai Duck (鍾及美味斗六當歸鴨), the Delectable Duck in Xinzhuang, New Taipei, Taiwan

On Feb. 13, 2017, my relatives and I came to Siwei Market in Xinzhuang, New Taipei, Taiwan for dinner. Although I had heard that there was a famous food stall for its dong quai duck, I hadn't been there for dinner.

The duck rice (large)

I liked its duck rice the most! The duck rice was so fantastic after topping with melted duck fat and shallot confit! The small duck rice was just at TWD 30(USD 0.97), and the large one was at only TWD 50(USD 1.62)! They were an absolute bargain!

Dong Quai Duck Soup

And the duck rice with the dong quai duck soup at TWD 50(USD 1.62) satisfied us so much! Its dong quai duck soup didn't tasted bitter or like herbs. It tasted pretty good! In fact, I was full enough after the rice and soup!

I went there with my relatives. Because we were 5 people, we ordered some side dishes to share with each other.

Duck meat

The duck meat was so tender! The duck meat with its special spicy sauce tasted pretty good! One dish of duck meat only cost us TWD 50 (USD 1.62)!

The blood cake

The blood cakes also tasted not bad! One dish cost us only TWD 30 (USD 0.97)!

But because it's just a food booth with a lack of seats, it may take your lots of time to queue if too many customers come at dinner time. Choosing takeout probably helps you save your time!
